I decided to wake up early on Christmas day as one does and capture the sunrise with my GoPro Hero 7 Black. Recently I recorded a video time lapse of some clouds as they capture the essence of time lapse perfectly.
I used my GoPro Hero 7 Black to capture this video time lapse. The GoPro camera was fixed to a window sill. I used one of the GoPro accessory mounts and I recorded for roughly 80 minutes.
Recording a video time lapse on the GoPro is very easy. I set the mode to Time Lapse, chose ‘Video Time Lapse’ as the type. Next up in the Preferences screen, I selected 4K for the best possible video, 2 seconds time lapse interval. An onscreen tip says, “10 minutes of recording creates about 10 seconds of time lapse video“. The field of view was set to wide.
I’ve recently purchased a new video editor called Filmora 9 by Wondershare. I had been struggling to render video fast with my previous video editor Cyberlink Power Director 15, which annoyed me.
Filmora 9 has so far been a delight to work in. It is relatively easy, however I have watched a few tutorials as the program has some advanced features. It rendered my video very quickly. I’ve imported quite a few large 4GB files and the program has handled them perfectly.
Consequently I purchased the Pro version, because the free version added a watermark to the video.
Filmora is no match for Adobe Photoshop, however it didn’t cost the earth, nor was it on a monthly subscription.
