Our garden plays host to a variety of birds great and small. My favourite small bird is also the UK’s favourite bird, the Robin. With its bright red breast and brown feathers, this Robin loves to sit at the top of the branches and chirp a merry song.

I photographed the Robin earlier today from our bedroom window, which offers a lovely vantage point over our garden. There are lots of trees and shrubs and the birds swoop in to feed at our bird feeder.

I was using my Panasonic micro four thirds Lumix G80 camera with my spanking new Panasonic Leica DG Vario-Elmar 100-400mm f/4.0-6.3 ASPH lens. It has a 35mm-equivalent range of 200-800mm lens, which is huge.

I’ll do a review of the lens soon, when I have gotten to grips with all the extra zoom and functionality, but all I can say for now is WOW!

Here are the EXIF information for the photo of the Robin above.
